Man broke into woman's Northwest DC home, sexually assaulted her, police say

Police are looking for a man they say broke into a woman's home in Northwest, D.C., demanded money and sexually assaulted her.

Officers say the incident happened around 1 a.m. Tuesday morning in the 1600 block of Irving Street. Authorities say the man broke into the home, demanded money from the woman, then sexually assaulted her before fleeing on foot toward an alley

Investigators say the suspect is described as a black male, approximately 50-years-old, 5-feet-10-inches to 6-feet-2-inches tall, a medium to heavy build with a a gray and black colored beard. He was last seen wearing a dark colored hooded shirt, gray pants, and red shoes.
