Funeral services announced for children killed in Bowie crash
UPPER MARLBORO, Md. (FOX 5 DC) - The funeral services for five children killed in a crash in Bowie earlier this month have been announced.
The children were all thrown from a vehicle when it veered off of Route 301 early in the morning on Saturday, Feb. 2.
They were identified a few hours after the crash as:
- London Dixon, 8, of Bowie, Md.
- Paris Dixon, 5, of Bowie, Md.
- Zion Beard, 14, of Washington, D.C.
- Rickelle Ricks, 6, of Washington, D.C.
- Damari Herald, 15, of Washington, D.C.
Services are set for Saturday, Feb. 16 at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Glenarden in Upper Marlboro.
The schedule includes:
9 a.m. Arrival of Hearses
9:45 a.m. Arrival of Family
10 - 11 a.m. Visitation (closed caskets)
11 a.m. Funeral Service Begins
12:30 p.m. Funeral Service Ends
Two adults - 32-year-old Dominique Taylor of Bowie and 23-year-old Cornell Simon of Oxon Hill - were injured in the crash.
