FBI joins investigation to find missing 16-year-old Jholie Moussa

FAIRFAX, Va. - The FBI is joining in the investigation to locate a missing teenage girl from Fairfax County, police say.

Police say 16-year-old Jholie Moussa was last seen on Friday, Jan. 12 in the 4200 block of Sonia Court in Alexandria. She was reported missing the following day.

Moussa's mother, Syreeta Hill, said her daughter left home at around 4:15 p.m. and told her twin sister that she was going to a party in Norfolk.

Fairfax County police say they have looked into the tip that Moussa was in Norfolk, but it did not pan out.

According to police, detectives have spoken with around 20 people who have had recent contact with Moussa. However, police say many of those 20 people who are friends with Moussa have not been fully cooperating with investigators.

At this point in their investigation, police say they do not believe Moussa is in imminent danger.

Hill told FOX 5 she does not believe her daughter would have run away. Hill said the last time she saw her daughter, she said she would be right back and did not take her phone charger or any extra clothes with her.

Moussa is described as 5'2" tall and weighs about 104 pounds. She has long blond braids and an infinity tattoo with her name and her twin sister's name on it. She was last seen wearing a black coat with a fur collar, plaid shirt, blue jeans and UGG boots.

Moussa is a 10th grade student at Mount Vernon High School.
