Earth Fare opens in Fairfax
FAIRFAX, Va. - Virginians who decided to eat healthier for their new year's resolution will be happy to learn an Earth Fare has opened in Fairfax County.
Hundreds waited in line Wednesday morning as the supermarket celebrated its grand opening at 11052 Lee Highway in Fairfax.
Earth Fare features natural and organic options that are free of artificial colors, flavors and preservatives. Meat, fish and dairy at Earth Fare are also free of added hormones and antibiotics.
The grocery store, which was established back in 1975 and has more than 40 stores in the U.S., was one of the first to completely eliminate high fructose corn syrup and added transfats from products on its store shelves.
The Earth Fare in Fairfax will be giving away free reusable tote bags until Sunday.
