DC firefighters honor firefighter killed in Pennsylvania crash
WASHINGTON - D.C. firefighters of Engine 29 and Truck 5 in Palisades are honoring their fallen fellow firefighter and friend Robert "Bob" Marshall, who died from injuries from a road accident in Pennsylvania.
Firefighters from Engine 29 and Truck 5 have been hanging black bunting over their doors in memory of Marshall, who was critically injured in a car accident last week along I-81 in Pennsylvania.
Marshall's helmet was placed over the Palisades firehouse door, with the flag at half-staff.
Fire officials say Marshall died Saturday from his injuries. He served as a firefighter for nearly 20 years.
Colleagues and friends tell FOX 5 they are keeping Marshall and his family in their prayers.
