DC area dog adopted from City Dogs Rescue participating in Puppy Bowl

The big game is coming up this Sunday. No, we are not talking about the Super Bowl, but about the Puppy Bowl!

Animal Planet is featuring dogs rescued from areas that were devastated by natural disasters last year such as Houston, Puerto Rico, Florida and Mexico. The network is working with different animal shelters and rescues around the country to fill up the rosters for Team Ruff and Team Fluff.

One of the stars taking part of Puppy Bowl XIV is Sally, a Treeing Walker Coonhound adopted from City Dogs Rescue in the nation's capital. Her owners, Dan and Charles, adopted Sally from the rescue in September. She now resides with them in Dupont Circle.

In addition to City Dogs Rescue, six other D.C. area dogs from Operation Paws for Homes will also be playing in the Puppy Bowl.
