DC active shooter report unfounded, police say
WASHINGTON - A report of an active shooter in the District on Friday has been determined to be unfounded, according to authorities.
DC police said the report came from the 1400 block of I Street, Northwest. Authorities said they swept through a building in the area and found no shooter or victims.
At the time, officials had closed streets in the area and urged people to shelter in place.
Authorities said the scene was determined to be safe and was cleared.
