1 firefighter injured during fire in Northwest DC

WASHINGTON (FOX 5 DC) - One D.C. firefighter was transported from the scene during a fire in the 5800 block of Georgia Avenue, Northwest early Sunday morning.

Officials said the firefighter's injuries were minor, and the bulk of the fire was under control around 4 a.m.

The eastbound lanes between 9th Street and Missouri Avenue Northwest, and all westbound lanes from Missouri Avenue to Madison Street Northwest were closed while crews were on the scene.
