DC police release surveillance video of Brentwood homicide suspect

WASHINGTON - D.C. police have released surveillance video of a man suspected of shooting and killing a Brentwood Road gas station clerk during a robbery over the weekend.

According to investigators, 68-year-old Nazir Ahmad, of Laurel, Maryland, was trying to stop the robber when he was gunned down.

Police began investigating when they responded to the location on Saturday around 6:07 a.m.

They say the gunman escaped with a just a few hundred dollars before police arrived at the scene.
