AMBER Alert: Search continues for 7-month-old Emma Grace Kennedy; new photos show abduction
RALEIGH, N.C. - An AMBER Alert and desperate search continues Tuesday for missing 7-month-old Emma Grace Kennedy who police say was abducted Sunday from a gas station in Danville, Virginia by her father who is registered sex offender.
The suspect, 51-year-old Carl Ray Kennedy was possibly seen near Seven Springs, North Carolina on Monday around 6:30 p.m. Authorities believe they may be heading to Town of Oak Island, North Carolina. Police say Kennedy may be driving gold, 2007 Suzuki Forenza possibly with North Carolina plate EKZ 5093 or FAA 1873.
New photos released by police show Kennedy holding the little girl while getting into his car. According to the alert, Kennedy was armed with a knife when he assaulted the infant's mother at a Kwik Stop and took the girl.
Virginia State Police say Emma is believed to be in "extreme danger."
Anyone who may have information about Kennedy's whereabouts are asked to call police.
