1 person dead after fire at Prince George's County hotel

CAPITAL HEIGHTS, Md. - One person is dead after fire broke out inside of a Prince George's County hotel.

The fire was reported around 6:30 a.m. at the La Quinta Inns & Suites on Hampton Park Boulevard in Capital Heights.

Investigators say one person was found dead inside of the room where the fire was believed to have started.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
