TAKING FLIGHT! Amazing views of DC from US Air Force helicopter flyover
JOINT BASE ANDREWS - FOX 5's Steve Chenevey received exclusive access during a United States Air Force helicopter flyover of the nation's capital.
Our cameras first climbed to about 1000 feet for a phenomenal view of Joint Base Andrews. The tour next took us over the Pentagon for a glimpse of the United States Air Force Memorial and Arlington National Cemetery.
The scenic tour continued along the Potomac River past the Arlington Memorial Bridge and the Lincoln Memorial.
The landmarks of the nation's capital - so rarely accessible by air because of the District's NoFly zone - were inspiring and beautiful when seen from above.
