Roseanne Barr's comedy show at MGM National Harbor canceled
NATIONAL HARBOR, Md. - Roseanne Barr's comedy show at MGM National Harbor scheduled for later this year has been canceled after she referred to Valerie Jarrett, a former adviser for former President Barack Obama, as a product of the Muslim Brotherhood and the "Planet of the Apes" on Twitter.
Barr was scheduled to perform on Oct. 12 at MGM National Harbor, but Ticketmaster's website now shows that her event has been canceled.
"Refunds at Point of Purchase only. Internet & Phone orders will automatically be canceled & refunded," the website said.
The racist tweet also led to the cancellation of her rebooted show on ABC.
Barr apologized on Twitter saying, "I apologize to Valerie Jarrett and to all Americans. I am truly sorry for making a bad joke about her politics and her looks. I should have known better. Forgive me-my joke was in bad taste."
Barr was also dropped by her talent agency ICM Partners on Tuesday.
